Millions of liquor gift packs are sold every year around the world. We've compiled a list of 15 most creative gift packs made in the last few years that truly stand out.
The direct mail piece created for Patron comprised of two boxes, one for Patron XO Dark Cocoa bottle and one for Patron Silver. Using the finest ingredients, the box was created with parallel products to be enjoyed with the Patron – raw, organic chocolate and handmade cocktails.
Socks and gin. What a combo. The Sip in Style gift set is a collaboration between Sipsmith Gin and the London Sock Company, born out of a passion for things well made; made the way they should be, the way they used to be.
Independent British gin brand Silent Pool offers a meticulously crafted Gin Gift Set with intricate copper tone design on the bottle and on the craft gin glasses. The set together looks like straight out of a fairy tale, with the luxurious blue tone accentuating the copper illustration.
The challenge was to create a limited edition gift pack that disrupts on the shelf in a cluttered gifting category. So the creative agency Bittersuite designed a functional pack that acts like a hipflask with a shoulder sling – convenient to take anywhere. This was inspired by the iconic Salmon trademark that relates back to fly-fishing where a hip-flasks is seen as a necessity. The leather feel and sophisticated finishes enhanced the sense of the pack being a premium accessory that can be reused by consumers.
This limited edition collaboration between luxury champagne maker Krug and trunk makers Pinel & Pinel is truly one of a kind. The leather-clad trunks are available in a limited edition run of just 30 worldwide, 10 each of three different designs.
For the gift 2016 gifting season, Smirnoff came out with a totally disruptive packaging design. Packaging sleeve with a built-in speaker! The speaker connected to the audio device with a headphone jack and created a lot of buzz - in retail and at home!

In collaboration with Johnnie Walker Blue Label, MW have developed this luxury gift pack. Containing a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue and two iconic glasses, this limited edition pack is the perfect present for any whiskey connoisseur.
As part of the holiday gift pack, luxury vodka brand Absolut Elyx launched Elyx Copper Gnome with a bottle of Absolut Elyx. Through the partnership between Absolut Elyx and Water For People, every Elyx Copper Gnome sold helped provide two weeks’ supply of safe water (280 liters) to someone in need. The cute Gnome called Felix represented the traditional Swedish guardian of an estate, perfect addition to the holiday hosting.
Designed by Mikolaj Lawnicki, the wine bottle concept is packaged in a jute bag, and stored in a decorated wooden box. Set includes a bottle opener and little decorative gift package.
In his words, “The bottle of Blackwater looks like a bottle of whiskey. Vintage style label refers to the period of the Wild West, and the brave men such as Wyatt Earp. The project was inspired by the figure of Edward Teach (c. 1680-1622 November 1718), better known as Blackbeard - the famous English pirate.”
For the third year running, Johnnie Walker released their John Walker & Sons Private Collection blended scotch whiskey in 2016. With "fine honeyed notes" as the theme, and once again only 8,888 bottles were released. In honor of this special occasion, the Johnnie Walker brand teamed up with MW Luxury Packaging team to produce an elegant wood-effect pack. The box was crafted using complex rigid board construction and is wrapped in bespoke paper stock, debossed with a fine wood grain effect. On the front of the case, the John Walker & Sons monogram is displayed in deep copper foil. Providing a striking contrast is the silver foil Royal Warrant emblem. Opposite rests a hardback booklet.
Numen Dry Gin, creatively used their meticulous illustration from the gin bottle onto other mediums. From wooden box packaging to creating custom tote bags and paper coasters; the brand’s use of art inspired designs onto different surfaces is highly impressive!
For Christmas 2016, upscale vodka brand Black Cow Vodka launched a bespoke gold-plated Black Cow Yukiwa Cocktail Shaker Gift Pack. The box itself opened like a luxurious thick catalog and amazed everyone design and alcohol lover alike.
Hendrick’s Gin has done several iterations to this mega-popular teacup gift pack. Perhaps the most notable has been the dream-themed teacup gift-set design they launched in 2014 with recipe suggestions from the UK brand ambassador Duncan McRae.
